Iyengar Yoga
Iyengar Yoga is the world’s most popular and widely practised method
of yoga. It is suitable for everyone, regardless of age and condition.
Through a system of over two hundred carefully graded postures,
Iyengar Yoga helps to promote strength, flexibility, vitality, concentration,
calm, self-confidence and general good health and wellbeing.
B.K.S. Iyengar, after whom the method is named, has devoted over
70 years of his life to the practice and understanding of yoga. He is
widely regarded as yoga’s greatest teacher of modern times.
His books on the principles of yoga are classics, and are collectively
held to be the highest authority on the subject by thousands of teachers
across the globe.
